Modern Plaits
The images I have selected are from New Yorks Fashion Week 2014. The hair styles that where presented really made me think that even though time has passed plaits have always stayed the same and in fashion. Even the most simple plait can be created into something beautiful just by adding some feathers or ribbon.
Modern Plaits
Messy side fishtail plait with bright fabric.
Milkmaid Plait
Plain version and one with fabric in it
Fishbone Plait ponytail with hair net
I really love the fishbone/tail look, heres my attempt:
Chignon with plait hairpiece; one of my personal favourites!
This hair style I would like to try out as it is simply lovely, creative and very effective. It also falls into the Elizabethan look that we are trying to create. This will be one that I will need to experiment with!
